Job Description

We are seeking an Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) Supervisor. This position is vital to ensuring the readiness of essential equipment for the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) programme. As an AEA Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for upholding stringent safety standards, enhancing operational performance, and collaborating within multi-site teams to meet our client’s goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Supervision: Oversee day-to-day maintenance, ensuring that AEA equipment is serviceable and available for aircrew and student pilots.
  • Equipment Management: Verify and maintain the correct sizing and issuance of AEA, documenting all equipment use accurately.
  • Operational Planning: Develop maintenance schedules for AEA/SE (Survival Equipment) to maximise equipment availability.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including COSHH and HSW regulations, while promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor compliance with Quality Assurance standards, escalate non-conformities, and facilitate resolutions in collaboration with the AEA Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within AEA or SE maintenance.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of AEA/SE maintenance, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to foster collaborative relationships within a multi-site team.
  • Certifications: Recognised RAF Survival Equipment Course or equivalent, Q-SE-AC or GAEA certification, and Human Factors training.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • IT Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Additional Training: Previous training qualifications are an asset.
